How to Apply

 Please carefully read ALL information below prior to applying.

 

Early Notification - Available for students who have a complete admissions file, including first-semester report card and have taken our entrance exam by February 16, 2018 (dates for the entrance are listed in Dates and Deadlines). 

 

Regular Admission - Applications must be submitted with all family documents on or before March 23, 2018. Files must be complete, including all family and school documents, by April 14, 2018. Decision Letters mailed on April 20, 2018. 

 

Late Admission - Applications received after March 23, 2018 will be considered on a space available basis for Late Admission.

 

All supporting documents from the student’s current school must be received before a file is considered complete and reviewed by the Admissions Committee. Please refer to the Dates and Deadlines tab for all important dates.

Step 1 – Submit Family Documents to Cristo Rey:

  • Signed and Completed Application
  • Most current W-2 and/or 1099 of each adult in household
  • Most current 1040 Income Tax Return of each adult in household
  • If applicable, copy of documentation for additional forms of income: Social Security Income, Welfare/TANF, Child Support, Food Stamps, Worker’s Compensation, Pension Income, Disability Income, Student Loans or Grants Received, Housing Assistance
  • Government-issued proof of age of student
  • Student Photo


All above documents must be submitted with the application in order to be pre-qualified financially.

 

 

Step 2 – Submit to Current School

  • Signed Request for Records
  • Signed English Teacher Recommendation Form
  • Signed Math Teacher Recommendation Form
    (All evaluation forms must be completed by a teacher or academic staff.  If a student is homeschooled, the student must provide recommendation forms from adults who can attest to the student’s academic performance and behavior. Parents or guardians cannot complete the evaluation forms.)

Step 3 – Take Entrance Exam

  • Student will be scheduled by Admissions Office once financially prequalified. 

 

Step 4 – Interview - if necessary, determined by Admissions Committee

 

 

Current School Records 

Please complete and sign the Request for Records form.  This form gives administrators at your student’s current school permission to provide the requested information to Cristo Rey Atlanta.

Teacher Recommendation Forms 

Please print and sign the Math Teacher and English Teacher Recommendation Forms before giving to the student’s teachers. Each form should be accompanied by a stamped envelope addressed to the Admissions Office at Cristo Rey Atlanta to make it easy for the teacher to send.
