Academic Resource Program
Thank you for your interest in supporting our students in their academic journey at Cristo Rey Atlanta. The Academic Resource Program welcomes former teachers, experienced tutors, and other volunteers who have hands-on classroom experience.
There are 3 opportunities for volunteers who want to be part of our Academic Resource Program. Once your application has been received and approved, we will be in touch to discuss what role is best suited for you.
Individual/group tutoring: This opportunity is ideal for those with extensive subject knowledge and tutoring experience. We are looking for tutors who can commit to a regular weekly session with students in order to promote academic success and strong bonds. This tutoring takes place during school hours (approximately 7:30am - 4:30pm in 55 min increments.)
Math Lab assistant: This opportunity is ideal for those with an interest in Math and enjoy being in a classroom setting. This lab covers middle school math and basic algebra topics in a collaborative, active way. We need volunteers who can commit to an every other week Math Lab session.
Classroom assistant: This opportunity is ideal for those who are willing to be an extra set of hands in the classroom for the teacher. The need for classroom assistants vary by class and subject. Your particular subject may not have a need for an assistant. Subject knowledge and classroom experience is required.
