Draft Day and BTI
Draft Day returned to the Fink Family Gymnasium on Friday, August 18, 2023. Corporate Partners celebrated our students as they received their job placements for the school year through our annual draft.

The Business Training Institute (BTI) is an intensive program planned and facilitated by Cristo Rey Atlanta, our Job Partners, and volunteers. In conjunction with the continuous development curriculum offered to all students throughout the year, the BTI prepares students for success at their corporate jobs. All incoming freshmen must complete this training to be officially accepted to our school.
The BTI equips students for their Corporate Work Study assignments with training in three key areas:
- Personal development: Students receive advice on public speaking, positive work attitude, and conflict resolution.
- Business etiquette: Students learn about professional behavior, attire, and phone etiquette, how to greet and converse with adults in the workplace, and how to be proactive during office downtime.
- Entry-level office skills: Students learn how to operate copiers, fax machines, computers and phone systems. They will also learn the basics of the Microsoft Office Suite, with an emphasis on Excel.
